Vimeiro Battle Recriation

In the village of Vimeiro, the History was marked by the decisive battle fought on August 21, 1808, where the Napoleonic Army, led by Junot, was defeated by Anglo-Portuguesw forces, commanded by General Wellington, ending the first French invasion in Portugal.
This episode of History is represented at the Battle of Vimeiro Interpretation Center and annually revived at the event historical recreation and nineteenth -century market.
On July 19, 20 and 21, this military feat is a mark in the History of Portugal.

Art and Tur Festival

Fundão: September 09 to September 12, 2025
The 18th International Tourism Film Festival, one of the most recognized global tourism film festivals, will take place this year in Fundão.
The importance of cinema and audiovisual tourism is reflected in the growing notoriety of Portugal Tourism Destination, being the Art & Tur festival an opportunity for international promotion for the territory of Fundão and all Castelo Branco region, central Portugal and the entire country.
The festival will include roundtables and presentation sessions, creative competitions to discover new talent, a visit to the Historic Village of Castelo Novo, training sessions, a nighttime nature walk, an open-air concert of cinema music, the screening of the documentary "The Dream and the Causes", about the Jornal do Fundão, among other activities.
