The city of OPorto, which will host the 64th ICCA Congress between 9 and 12 November 2025, reached 34th position in the world ranking and 22nd in the European ranking.
Regarding the performance of cities, Lisbon regained 2nd place in the world ranking, remaining in 2nd place in the European ranking for the fifth consecutive year.
With these results, it is also important to highlight the Portugal Events Program, which has been a fundamental tool for attracting events of international relevance, reinforcing the contribution of tourism to the national economy and to the valorization of our offer.
This mechanism, managed by Turismo de Portugal, has been decisive in supporting events with a high international impact, thus contributing to the enhancement of the tourist offer and, at the same time, to strengthening the country's image as a competitive and innovative destination on a global level.

Congress for Events and Congress Organizers
For the first time in Portugal, companies operating in the Congress, Tourism and Events sectors will be able to apply for a Quality Certification process.
Under the theme Structure Business to Boost Growth, the Portuguese Association of Congresses and Tourism Companies will hold the 5th APECATE Congress in Évora, February 2-4, 2017.
