According to data from Turismo de Portugal, there are currently 91 golf courses in Portugal (of which 66 have 18 or 27 holes), and the Algarve is the region with the highest concentration of courses in Portugal, followed by Lisbon.
The entity, responsible for the promotion, enhancement, and sustainability of tourism in Portugal, says that "the United Kingdom continues to be the most representative source market, with approximately 50% of demand, followed by the domestic market with 14% of rounds played."
