Budapest

Health and Wellness
Hungary is a perfect holiday destination to refresh body and soul. This country is blessed to have the largest reserves of thermal waters and medicinal largest lake in the thermal baths of the world.
The combination of a thermal bath culture with excellent modern facilities ensures fulfillment of the expectations of each one. If you look for freshness, relaxation or recovery, Hungary can not fail to meet your needs.
The Romans were the heralds of the first golden age of 'spa' in Hungary, and the remains of their bath complexes can still be seen in Obuda.
The spa culture was revived after the Ottoman invasion. The Turks built a large number of bathcabins - some still in operation today - to make use of the thermal waters. In the 19th century, advances in deep drilling technics and medical science were the springboard to entrench the culture of bathing.
Grand Spas as Gellert Baths, Lukács, in Margaret Island and Szechenyi Thermal Bath reflect this increase in popularity.

Balneotherapy - the use of thermal water for medical treatments - remains an effective therapy. Now is complemented with wellness treatments, which were introduced from all corners of the globe. What makes Hungary exclusive, however, is the atmosphere of history and tradition that is in its spas.
The old city surprises the visitor. Vintage Budapest
